Members

College Membership is available as follows -

1.         Associate Member : Any doctor practising in Australia and New Zealand who expresses an interest in skin cancer medicine is eligible to become an associate member of the College.  There will be no voting rights attached to this membership level.
2.         Member (Ordinary): Potential members will be required to provide evidence of having passed one of the following :
:
  • ACSCM Certificate Exam
  • Skin Cancer Society of Australia Exam
  • University of Queensland Masters (Skin Cancer)
  • Cardiff University Diploma of Dermatology
  • CBL/Skin Alert Diploma in Skin Cancer Management
Other relevant qualifications may be considered on application.

3.         Member (Diplomat): This level  requires significantly more training and expertise.  This level of certification is generally required for doctors recognized as able to perform skin cancer procedures for rural hospitals.

4.         Fellow of ACSCM: A log book showing suitable experience in managing a range of skin cancer diagnoses as well as suitable experience in a range of dermatologic surgery techniques.It is expected that experience of the equivalent of three years in full time skin cancer surgery will be required on average to meet the log book minimum requirements.

Honorary Membership: This will be offered at the discretion of the Board to any Medical Practitioner considered suitable by the Board.  Such a privilege will be considered for significant guest lecturers or significant contributors to the College.  Honorary Affiliates will not be required to pay an annual fee.
