Workshops

Why attend ACSCM workshops?

ACSCM has workshops and education for all levels in skin cancer practice.

For doctors we recommend the certificate weekend program as a beginning in the the skin cancer education program. At the end of this weekend one can sit the certificate multichoice College exam. Details of Certificate weekend are below.

Next step up is to work towards College diploma.  We recommend that those working to this level consider College Diploma weekends.  For those who have experienced minimal dermoscopy education we also recommend College dermoscopy weekend.

We also have a program for nurses including a weekend for nurses to learn about skin cancer nursing.

See our 2012 calendar here.

OVERVIEW
This is the recommended starting point for GPs wanting to expand their knowledge and skills in primary care skin cancer medicine.

This two day, face-to-face course focuses on core skills and the safe practice of skin cancer medicine and includes hands-on sessions to introduce basic skin surgery and suturing techniques. Undertaking the assessment component of the course is optional. However, successful completion of the assessment is required in order to be awarded a Certificate.

Please note; the Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine provides only a basic introduction to skin flap surgery.
